In Parallel: Conversations on Love, Life & Light

5 December – February 28 2026

125 Space is pleased to present In Parallel: Conversations on Love, Life & Light, a group exhibition bringing together the work of Fernando de Ana, Antonia Figueiredo, David Hanley (DaHexd) and Kiama Lisani.

Opening on the 5th of December 2025, the exhibition explores four distinct artistic practices that, when placed in dialogue, illuminate shared themes of intimacy, perception, and the emotional resonance of everyday experience.

Though varied in medium and approach, each artist engages with the world through a sensibility rooted in attentiveness: to personal histories, to inner landscapes, and to the subtle ways light—literal and metaphorical—shapes the act of seeing.

In Parallel: Conversations on Love, Life & Light, positions four practices side by side, allowing their distinct visual languages to speak across shared territories:

Love as an orientation toward intimacy and understanding,
Life as a constellation of fleeting, yet resonant moments, and
Light as both material presence and metaphor for perception.

The exhibition invites viewers to move fluidly between these perspectives, discovering the threads—subtle, emotional, and luminous—that bind them together.

  • Fernando de Ana

Spanish artist Fernando de Ana contributes a series of works that blur the boundaries between painting and sculpture. Using light, resin, and reflective surfaces, he creates objects that act as perceptual thresholds—spaces that invite the viewer into a slowed, contemplative mode of looking. De Ana’s pieces do not depict; they hold. Their presence opens an intimate dialogue between material and immaterial, encouraging moments of reflection that sit between seeing and sensing.

    Antonia Figueiredo

Lisbon-based Brazilian artist Antonia Figueiredo presents vibrant, layered paintings that balance playful immediacy with introspective depth. Working with acrylic, oil pastel, and collage, she constructs compositions where botanical motifs, classical silhouettes, and pop-inflected symbols coexist in a joyful, yet nuanced visual field. Beneath the vivid palette lies a quieter exploration of freedom, resilience, and the emotional textures that accompany personal transformation.

    David Hanley (Dahexd)

David Hanley (DaHexd), is a multidisciplinary artist from the UK, whose practice merges painting, creative technology and EEG-integrated performance. Using brainwave data to shape both projection-mapped environments and the structure of his abstract compositions, he explores themes of mental health, internal tension and the pressures of contemporary life. With a growing international footprint and a practice that bridges technology and introspective expression, DaHexd continues to refine a distinct visual language shaped by both emotional and biological data.

    Kiama Lisani

Australian-born, Brussels-based artist Kiama Lisani, presents paintings drawn from the quiet poetry of the everyday. Her works transform simple encounters—café interiors, shared meals, shifting colour palettes—into scenes that radiate warmth and familiarity. Through bold colour and playful composition, she captures the tenderness embedded in ordinary life, presenting fragments of personal experience that echo more universal feelings of connection and joy.
