The exhibition aims to highlight new practices in contemporary art, bringing together practitioners whose work reflects the shifting cultural, material, and conceptual landscape of the region. 

As a platform committed to supporting local talent, 125 Space would like to provide a professional context in which emerging artists can present their work and engage with collectors, curators, and the wider creative community. Through this open call, ten artists will be selected to participate in the exhibition at 125 Space in Limassol. 

New Forms, New Voices reflects an interest in how emerging artists are redefining visual language through experimentation, material exploration, and critical engagement with contemporary conditions. The exhibition seeks work that responds, explicitly or intuitively, to questions of identity, place, and cultural inheritance, while remaining open to broader global dialogues.

Artists are encouraged to consider how their work speaks to the evolving creative landscape of Cyprus, both within and beyond its geographic boundaries, and how new voices contribute to ongoing conversations within the global artistic community.

Key Information

    • Artists and makers at an emerging stage of their creative practice, including self-taught artists, students, non-professional creatives, and individuals at the beginning of their artistic development 

    • Children and young people with a developing practice are welcome to apply, with submissions supported by a parent or legal guardian where applicable 

    • Applicants not currently working as established or represented artists 

    • Artists based in Cyprus, or of Cypriot origin living abroad 

    • Practitioners working across any visual discipline, including painting, sculpture, installation, photography or digital art 

    • Applicants able to present completed works suitable for exhibition 

    For applicants under the age of 18, participation will require written consent from a parent or legal guardian. 

  • Submissions will be evaluated based on: 

    • Artistic quality and originality 

    • Conceptual clarity and relevance to the exhibition theme 

    • Experimentation and innovation in process or material 

    • Professional presentation and readiness for exhibition 

    Applications will be reviewed by the members of the 125 Space creative team. 

    • Participation in a curated group exhibition at 125 Space 

    • Professional photography and documentation of exhibited works 

    • Inclusion in 125 Space press, social media, and digital communications 

    • Opportunity to sell exhibited works under a standard gallery commission agreement 

    • Open call launch: January 2026 

    • Application deadline: 9th of March 2026 

    • Selected artists announced: 31st of March 2026 

    • Exhibition period: June – August 2026
