Upcoming Pop-Up Exhibition 12 September -
125 Space is delighted to present Pulse, a group exhibition bringing together the work of Anna Kalinitschenko, Laxmi Hussain, and Tony Green.
Opening on the 12th of September 2026, the exhibition brings together three contemporary artists whose practices are united by a shared belief in the transformative power of colour. Moving beyond a purely formal or aesthetic choice, colour becomes an active force—generating energy, evoking memory, and shaping the way we experience and perceive the world around us.
Opening in the presence of the artists
12th of September 18:00 PM
at Pop-Up Location: Aphrodite Amathusia Cultural Center
Meet the artists
Anna Kalinitschenko
-
Anna Kalinitschenko is a Cologne-based artist whose practice explores colour as both subject and experience. Working with acrylic, ink, and pastel on raw cotton canvas, she builds luminous compositions through transparent layers, expressive lines, and areas of exposed fabric that allow light and space to become part of the work.
At the heart of Kalinitschenko’s practice is an ongoing fascination with how colours interact, balance, and transform one another. Moving beyond representation, her paintings invite intuitive and emotional encounters, creating spaces with optimism, energy, and connection.
Kalinitschenko has exhibited across Germany, Belgium, and the United States, and her work is held in private collections internationally.
Laxmi Hussain
-
Laxmi Hussain draws inspiration from forms encountered in everyday life, exploring the body as a vessel—its tenderness, evolution and the natural shapes it assumes and transforms throughout life. The vivid blue colour flows through her drawings and paintings as a tribute to her late mother, turning her exploration of the body into something more intimate: a meditation on memory, motherhood, loss and the invisible bonds between generations.
Trained in architecture, Hussain brings a sense of precision to her fluid studies of the human form, moving between abstraction and figuration through intricate line work, ordered patterns and organic shapes. Her works are often deliberately incomplete, inviting the viewer to pause, engage and fill in what is left unsaid.
Hussain has exhibited in Print Club London, Hackney Art Week and at Aspex Portsmouth. Her work has also been featured in Vogue UK, Financial Times, and ELLE Decoration, with commissions for Tate, H&M Home, and the Royal Academy of the Arts.
Tony Green
-
Tony Green reimagines the mythology of the American West through explosive colour, spontaneous linework and playful cultural collision. Cowboys and rodeo figures are transported from familiar, dusty landscapes into vivid tropical worlds, where they coexist with feminine figurative elements, in a rhythmic repetition and abstraction.
Green’s layered compositions capture the movement and spectacle of the rodeo while subverting its traditional stoicism with humour and a sense of freedom.
Since graduating from Central Saint Martins in 2010, Green has collaborated with Selfridges, L’Oréal, Smythson, Prada and JACQUEMUS, most recently working with Lanvin Paris on its SS2026 collection. His work has been exhibited internationally and is held in private collections worldwide.
